TwoSun Knives: Brand Guide, Best Models & Where to Buy

TwoSun (also written TWOSUN or Two Sun) makes titanium-handled folders and compact fixed blades with steels like M390, 14C28N and D2, many for under $100. This guide covers what the brand does well, where it falls short, the models worth your money, and where to find them, including live TwoSun auctions on eBay.

About TwoSun
TwoSun is a Chinese knife maker based in Yangjiang, the center of China’s knife industry. The brand built its following by putting titanium handles, carbon fiber inlays, and premium steels on knives priced well below what the big names charge for similar materials.
The catalog is huge. Nearly every model carries a TS number (TS177, TS430, TS471 and so on), and many come in several steels and handle finishes. TwoSun also works with outside designers such as Jelly Jerry, Night Morning, and Wong, so the lineup ranges from clean everyday flippers to carved, colorful collector pieces.

The Short Answer: Are TwoSun Knives Good?
Yes, for the price, with a couple of things to know before you buy.
- Titanium framelocks and Ti/carbon fiber handles at budget prices
- Real premium steels: M390, 14C28N, K110, S90V
- Huge variety of designs, including collab and designer models
- Generally tight fit and finish and sharp out of the box
- Many models use thick blade stock, which is great for hard use but not a thin slicer
- Some are heavier than you’d expect for their size
- Factory grinds can vary from knife to knife
- So many TS numbers that it’s easy to buy the wrong variant
TwoSun tends to build large, sturdy, overbuilt knives. Quality Control seems to be solid and, in my experience, returns due to workmanship are rare.

TwoSun Blade Steels Explained
The same TS model often comes in more than one steel. Here’s what the steel name in the listing means.
- D2: A tool steel used on budget knives. It holds an edge well but is less stain-resistant, so wipe it down after use.
- 14C28N: A Sandvik stainless steel. It is tough, very stain-resistant, and easy to sharpen, which makes it a great everyday choice.
- N690: A Böhler stainless steel with a good balance of edge retention, corrosion resistance, and easy sharpening.
- K110: Böhler’s version of D2, with similar trade-offs.
- M390: A Böhler powder steel with excellent edge retention and corrosion resistance. It’s the premium pick in TwoSun’s lineup.
- S90V: A high-vanadium powder steel that holds an edge for a very long time but is harder to sharpen.
- YJ01 / YJ88: Steels sourced in Yangjiang that TwoSun uses on some models.
- Damascus: Chosen mainly for looks. Performance depends on the steels in the pattern.

TwoSun Knives FAQ
Are TwoSun knives good quality?
For the price, yes. You get titanium handles and steels like M390 and 14C28N that usually cost much more from other brands. The trade-offs are thicker blade stock on many models and factory grinds that can vary from one knife to the next.
Where are TwoSun knives made?
In Yangjiang, China, the city where many of China’s best-known knife brands are based.
Is it TwoSun, TWOSUN, or Two Sun?
All three refer to the same brand. The company usually styles its name TWOSUN, and most model numbers start with “TS.”
What does “TS” in TwoSun model names mean?
TS is short for TwoSun. The number identifies the design, and the suffix after it (for example “-M390” or “-D2”) tells you the blade steel or finish. Check the suffix before you buy, because the same TS number can come in several steels.
