About

John from Tactile Carry

About the channel

Hey, I’m John.

I run Tactile Carry from Gilbert, Arizona — a YouTube channel and site dedicated to budget EDC knives.

The premise is simple: I buy, carry, and test affordable folding knives — mostly under $100 — so you don’t have to gamble on the next viral pocket knife.

Every review is hands-on. Every cut test is real. Every knife I show you is one I’ve actually carried in my Levi’s pocket. No sponsored fluff, no spec-sheet regurgitation, no $500 collectibles dressed up as “everyday carry.” Just honest takes on knives that real people can actually afford.

I started Tactile Carry because budget EDC content is full of either over-hyped promotional reviews or armchair YouTubers who never actually carry the knife they’re reviewing. I wanted something different — somebody who’d unbox the thing, run it through paper, irrigation pipe, and a real Levi’s pocket fit test, and tell you straight up whether it’s worth your $40.

I work closely with dealers like Adept Knives, FINTISO, Kizer, Kansept, Titaner, and more…

When I’m not making videos, I’m running The Works – Gilbert, a coworking space in Gilbert with my wife, or chasing a high score at the local pinball tournament. Stay sharp out there.
